Error 403 "Forbidden" This means
that the owner of the site has turned off permissions for either that page
or its parent
directory. If you get this error messageand really want to see the page,
you should contact the owner of the
site and tell them what URL you were trying to access when you got the
403 error. Permissions get changed
as much by accident as on purpose; the author might appreciate knowing.
A quick note about determining the owner of a page:
If the URL is simply www.yaddayadda.com/, it's a good idea to write to webmaster@yaddayadda.com.
But! If the URL is www.yaddayadda.com/~joeblow, you need to write to joeblow@yaddayadda.com.
A URL
with a tilde ( ~ ) in it indicates that the owner is simply one user on
a larger system.
Error 404 "File not found" This means that the
URL as you've typed it doesn't exist. Check the spelling and try again,
but be
aware that people take pages down all the time on the Internet. If you're
pretty sure that the page is there, contact
the owner of the site about the 404 error you got. (Please see previous
note about determining the site owner.)

Error 500 This means that there was a
script running, like a CGI script, that didn't work correctly. You can't
fix it, and you
can't move past it, but you can let the author know that it's broken. (Please
see previous note about determining
the site owner.)
