You do not know what love is until you look
into the eyes of your pet
(If you are lucky enough to have a pet, that
is)
Molly and Pauline in Oz
Molly is ten years old going on one hundred.
Of all six Yellow Labradors I have had,
she is by far the most intelligent.
I got her when she was seven years old when her owner
became sick with cancer and couldn't manage
to look after her. Leo does the exercising as
I can't walk far or fast enough to do any
good. We are totally in love with her and as a result
tend to overfeed her which has to stop in
1999.

I
prefer the company of my Dog since
he wags
his tail and not his tongue.
Hello I am Grimmy McKnett.
I am the shy reserved type.
*
Dogs love unconditionally,
just like God. That is
why he used
his name backwards, to spell their name.
Hello! My
name is Tucson, I am a 5 year old Whippet.
I belong to Dusty and Yes, that
is my baby blanket, Thank you!

Bruce, Taipei, Taiwan
This is
a schipperkee named Tout Ross. She is 3 years old and completely
unhousebroken.
She likes to go for rides in the cars whenever she
can.
This started, strangely enough, when she was first taken to see
the vet.
At the present she is one of three, having a much older male
and a slightly
younger female for companionship.

"If you pick
up a starving dog and make him
prosperous,
he will not bite you; that is the
principal
difference between a dog and a man."
-- Mark Twain
I am including pictures of our two other
schipperkes. The one with the
"short hair" is Dittle (correct name according
to Lois, Dawn).
I called her Dittle for two reasons.
The first is that she seemed
to be a ditto or carbon copy of Thimble, the
one who died. The second
reason is that when she was a put her brother
scratched her on the nose and
the hair grew back as white rather than black
so she is a dit with a dot,
or a dittle. I know, it doesn't make
any sense. The other dog, with the
long hair is our male, Dipper--contraction
of skipper (again no sense).
His AKC name is :Nor-Sah's Inkee Bear.
He is about 16 years old and
when younger, much younger, got his AKC obedience
certificate in four tries.
Three tries are necessary and he would have
finished in three appearances
excepting that it was noisy in the arena and
he couldn't hear my son
(his trainer) call his name. When the
call had to be repeated he heard
but he was disqualified for not reacting the
first time. Funny thing though.
The AKC sent him not only a certificate for
obedience but also one for
conformance. Anyway, that completes
our brood.

My dog Macks. (Andrea's Mackson Million). Macks is a 5
year old
Chow Chow. He is sitting in our front yard. He loves
to go for
rides in my van and sits up straight in the front seat like a person.
Boy do
we get looks from other motorists. I can't leave a van door
open if he's out
and I'm unloading stuff from the van, because he will jump in and
WILL NOT get
out and at about 90 lbs., he's not easy to get out so I usually
have to take
him for a short ride and then he'll get right out once we pull back
in the
driveway.
Just to introduce my little one:
Dejah.
Hubby said that since I picked her out he
got to name her
and since he's a big Edgar Rice Burroughs
fan, he named her Dejah Thoris (princess of Mars)
after a character in a Tarzan book, but I
just call her Deej.
She's a Border Collie and we play flyball
as well as attend Therapy Pet classes.
They're a good reason for being on God's green
earth, aren't they?
BTW, that's a bone in her mouth!
Love,
Doris
